Chery has revealed its flagship model, the new seven–seat Tiggo 8 crossover. Sales of the 2018 new car in China will begin in July. The model will receive a stretched T1X front-wheel drive platform with fully independent suspension and two variants of gasoline engines: an atmospheric 122-horsepower two-liter complete with CVT variator and a turbocharged 1.5 liter engine with a return of 152 “horses”. The Chery Tiggo 8 is the first model from a Chinese manufacturer with a seven–seat cabin with a seating configuration 2+3+2 due to the considerable dimensions of the car (4.7 m x 1.86 m x 1.746 m, wheelbase 2.71 m), there is not an excess of space in the third row, but it is quite enough, there are two separate seats with a range movement on a 2.6 cm sled and with adjustable backrest tilt. The Chinese are still keeping the interior design of their 2018 new car a secret. It is known that the new Cherry Tiggo 8 crossover, depending on the level of equipment, will definitely receive a multi-steering wheel, a digital instrument panel, 2/3-zone climate control, multimedia with a 9? Clouddrive v.3.0 tablet (voice command recognition in 32 Chinese dialects, navigator, rear view camera and all-round visibility, connect with gadgets), and the list of the electronic safety package will include auto braking, blind spot scanning, marking control, an assistant when descending a hill / starting a slide.
The exterior of the Chery Tiggo 8 is distinctive, the 7-seater model turned out to be quite solid and stylish. There is a sculptural full-face with a hood line laced with ribs and splashes, a large false radiator grille divided into two sections by a chrome bar, considerable headlamps in interesting-shaped shades, an air duct rod that fits into the plane of a wide bumper, complemented by a jagged tip of a crossover protective body kit and a second flashy chrome insert, where miniature ones are interestingly and extravagantly mounted the strokes of fog lamps. A profile with good proportions, a sloping roof line, spectacular moldings at the bottom of the doors and elegant mirrors on shiny platforms. Interesting accents of the stern: a fashionable single chandelier of marker lights (side lampshades and an LED bridge between them), a practical trunk door with an electric opening drive, a spoiler fin above the rear window, a medium-sized bumper.
